this notice explains how Let’s handles your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). it is written to be read, not to be survived.

Let’s is pre-launch. the only thing on this website is a waitlist, so today we collect very little:
we do not ask for your name, your phone number, your ID number or your address on this website.
we rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the waitlist form. you can withdraw it at any time and we will delete your record — there is an unsubscribe link on every email we send, and it works immediately.
we use a small number of service providers to run the waitlist and the website. they process your information only on our instruction:
some of these providers store data outside South Africa — Brevo and Plausible process it in the European Union, and Vercel serves this website from infrastructure in the United States and elsewhere. where that happens, we only use providers that are subject to privacy laws comparable to POPIA or that are bound by contract to equivalent protections.
until your suburb opens and we have told you, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. if we have not launched in your area within 24 months, we delete your record and you do not need to ask.
you may ask us, at any time and free of charge, to:
email privacy@lets-app.co.za and we will action it within 30 days. if you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at complaints.IR@justice.gov.za.
the app will collect more than this website does — a phone number and an email for verification, an age confirmation, approximate location so the feed can work, and optionally a face scan if you turn on face login. how all of that is handled is set out on our safety page, and this notice will be replaced with a fuller one before the app is released. we will email you when it changes.
if we change anything material, we will update the date at the top and email anyone on the waitlist. we will not quietly broaden what we do with your information.
